Iowa Durable Power of Attorney (Financial)

Last Updated: 5/22/2015

Document Description

The ezEstatePlanner’s Iowa Durable Financial Power of Attorney allows you to authorize an agent of your choosing, to manage your finances when you are not able. This is an important resource to have, as without it everyday purchases and payments could be met with red tape and complications.

As the principal, you have the responsibility to authorize someone to manage and regulate your finances. This special person is called the agent. The agent has the power to make decisions for all the principal’s specified monetary affairs. While some immediately know who they will designate as their agent, some must take their time and carefully consider a reliable representative. Keep in mind the agent you assign will have access and the power to make decisions regarding your financial life. The assignment of this representative should not be taken lightly.

A power of attorney gives a specific person authority over the management of finances. This ezEstatePlanner document will include a plethora of options to have your agent regulate. These options include collecting government benefits, or filing tax returns, along with the day to day management of finances. After reviewing the possible powers of the agent and assigning the appropriate choices, you can also add your own special instructions in the custom text section of the document builder.

After creating your Iowa Financial Power of Attorney, you can print it out to be signed by all parties. Once fully completed and executed the document can be uploaded right back onto the website and included in your ezEstatePlanner Vault. There, you can include and find all of your important estate documents as well as pictures or any valuable files.
