Document Description
Families make plans for all sorts of unexpected circumstances in their lives. Why not have the same level of preparation when it comes to health? In the event of a devastating condition, preparation can alleviate some of the burdensome decisions your family may face, which is one of the many benefits of an advance health directive.
An advance health directive, also called a living will, contains your wishes for medical treatment in the event of terminal illness or a persistent vegetative state. There are various options for treatment and numerous decisions that must be made in these unfortunate situations. The Nevada Advance Health Directive gives you the control to dictate what kind of medical treatment you want and allows you to make the decisions before the situation arises.
The document goes through the various details involved with life-sustaining medical treatments, as well as the differing options involving use of a feeding tube. The Nevada Advance Health Directive also allows you to select the environment for your care. Whether you prefer to be cared for in your own home, in the hospital or in hospice care, you have the option to select where you are most comfortable.
You are able to upload your signed Nevada Advance Health Directive to your ezEstatePlanner Vault so you can easily access it in the case of emergency. You can also upload your signed living trust or will, along with any other estate planning documents. You and select designated loved ones can access the ezEstatePlanner Vault at any time.
Note: An advance health directive (or living will) is not the same as a health care power of attorney or a living trust.
